The morning of the wedding I left the house earlier than scheduled. Fully expecting to be looking at someone’s bumper for an hour and a half, but surprisingly there was no traffic. Friday morning had a good start. Nina’s house was filled with a quiet chatter over tea, her puppy curiously checking up on the newcomers, flowers arriving. It was almost surreal, all calm as if in slow motion, just like a wedding day should be. Everything was on schedule. Nina joked that not only did the groom showed up, but he was an hour early, an admirable quality in a man. The two were still wearing casual clothes and lounging around almost till departure, but in a span of five minutes they were transformed into the bride and groom, looking ever so gorgeous and dapper! The rest of the day went just as it started, calm and filled with affection. Nina and Kirill, you two are like butter together! Yes, butter! That’s the best word I’m able to come up with to describe how well you vibe together. So smooth! I’m also convinced that you have powers over traffic gods, and ‘everything will go well‘ deities. Thank you for letting me capture your day! Thanks for being such a good sport, walking in the sand, rolling on the grass, and swimming in fountains. You two rock (just like butter)!

Nina + Kirill: Wedding
Thursday, September 8th, 2011Wedding: Lorrie + Andrew
Tuesday, March 8th, 2011On the morning of her wedding Lorrie was completely in her comfort zone. Calm, and collected, she made the wedding seem like an everyday occurrence. Hair, make up, and gown, she was, the complete picture. Only once was there a slight hint of nervousness in her demeanor as she paused, took a deep breath, with the question of “How do I look?’” in her eyes. There was no need for such anxiety as Lorrie was absolutely stunning! As the moment’s hesitation subsided, off she went to marry her best friend, and new life partner. Andrew waited for her at the end of the aisle looking ever so dapper and confident. The second she stepped on that red carpet their eyes met in a knowing smile, like a well kept secret, a secret to be kept no more. It was love. Lorrie and Andrew got married on a warm and perfect autumn’s day at St. Paul’s United Church followed by a fabulous reception at Spencers At The Waterfront. Lorrie and Andrew, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your special day! You two put a real big smile on my face… pools of water have nothing to do with it!

Paul + Sharon: Wedding
Monday, September 6th, 2010
“Praying for the good weather,” she said. The morning of Paul and Sharon’s big day was nothing even close to ‘good’ weather. That day I opened my eyes, the gloomy sky greeted me. Great! It was going to be one of those days… It rained and rained, and then rained some more and when the time came for the celebration it was like the sky didn’t have any water left in it. The sun came out just in time and gave way for a glorious evening.
Sharon was simply glowing with happiness in her adorable little dress, flowers in her hair, and seriously gorgeous ‘bling’. Paul was just handsome, period! “Nine years, I’ve been waiting for this nine years” I’ve overheard Sharon’s mom say. These two have been dating for a loooooong time and it shows! They have this comfort level that only people who know each other very well have. They fall into quiet conversations, exchange knowing glances, and just flow so well together. In the venue filled with family and friends they celebrated their love and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
Sharon and Paul, thank you so much for letting me capture your special day. You two are just adorable together. Best wishes in your new adventures!

Wedding – Alexander + Svetlana
Tuesday, May 11th, 2010I photographed this cute little wedding back in March when everything was still dark and gloomy outdoors. Was pleasantly surprised that Mississauga City Hall offers so many settings for photography. Alex and Sveta were just adorable and we even had time to play around for a bit. Enjoy the photos!
