Today I [heart] – white & cream

I was missing my virtual shopping, so once again I’m at it. Would have spent almost 2k on all of this. If only money grew on trees, I’d definitely have those KORS shoes… and the bag, the dress, and sunglasses, throw in the ring as well.

Firsts: Designer Shoes

Monday, November 15th, 2010

High heels, low heels, flats, I love them all. Especially if they are high heel and comfortable, but the combination of the two is fairly rare. The last venture to the world of flashy sale signs and bright lights resulted in a pair of Coach shoes. This marks my first designer shoe purchase, which could start an addiction to expensive shoes and not just shoes. Justifying the costs in my head is pretty funny actually. First I think how much I have to shoot, then what camera gear I could get for the money, and lastly where I could travel instead. That day my brain agreed with the purchase and here they are, pretty brown shoes. Aren’t they perfect for a Canadian winter?

Red Shoes

Thursday, October 28th, 2010

Once upon a time I had a pair of my favourite Nine West red shoes. They were my ‘go to’ shoes, most comfortable and cool looking. I was so happy that I didn’t settle for black ones ‘that would go with everything,’ my red ones went with EVERYTHING instead. I wore them so much that on one warm sunny day they ripped right down the side of all the places. I tried keeping them for longer, but that didn’t go over to well, so I had to let them go.

Photo circa 2003 and Kodak 2.2mp WOOT! Don’t be hating!

On my trip to London, after already getting a pair of pretty blue shoes, I saw them. They were sitting on a shelf hypnotizing me with their gorgeous red colour. But that was all, I left them there… cause my blue ones were already in the bag, and they were also very nice. Little did I know, that under careful instructions from mommy, my dad would go on a scavenger hunt all over London (half a year later) to find that red pair of shoes for me. Seeing my dad with a huge smile over Skype saying that he GOT them, and telling a story how he went to several places asking for Street Chic Clark’s shoes and they didn’t have them, then going to a warehouse where they found a pair for me, just melted my heart. I didn’t even know that my parents were up to something! That was so incredibly sweet! Thank you so much for my new favourite pair of red shoes! I’ll wear them well, and hopefully won’t tear them down the side this time.

p.s. They are so COMFORTABLE. <3

Today I [heart] – Early Autumn

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

It’s been a while since I’ve posted one of these, forgot how much I enjoy making them. It’s like shopping with an unlimited budget! Minus the part where you don’t actually buy anything… I definitely don’t need any more clothes, especially after two hour closet clean up today. Pheeew! …maybe shoes, one can never have enough shoes. Today I looked for something that will go well with changing leaf colour, cold mornings, and gloomy skies. Somehow animal theme sneaked in again. Had to restrain myself from adding a whole bunch of unrelated animals into one outfit. Zoo obsessions, much? Dress it up with high heels, or go casual with riding boots and charcoal coloured tights. I tried almost identical pair of boots in Town Shoes this past weekend. They are at $250. Also, Calvin Klein has similar enamel rings starting from $120, on sale -60%.

Today I [heart] – Walk on the Beach

Monday, April 26th, 2010

If I had a split personality that’s what she would wear to the beach. Completely impractical but totally fabulous, relaxed, yet fashionable. I’ll stick with shorts and plaid, sunglasses and definitely flip flops or gladiator sandals, ’cause all I can think of is ‘sand everywhere.’ Love the ocean-blue colours, whites and golds. That water bottle is actually glass – no throw away plastics, especially at the beach. Can’t wait for the heat of the summer and beach volleyball!

Today I [heart] – Spring in New York!

Monday, March 29th, 2010

Nothing inspires me more than seeing good fashion on the streets of the world’s trendiest city. I caught myself staring at passersby shoes in a not so subtle manner a few times. Was standing in awe on 5th avenue watching beautiful women in beautiful clothes. Yes, I’m just that ‘classy’ and not creepy at all. Since NYC is still a bit grey and on the colder side, I thought the more neutral tones would suite it best. Tall sexy shoes, new twist on the trench coat, long tank dress and bold jewellery with a great bag would suit me just fine for an afternoon stroll through designer stores.

Today I [heart] – Spring Colour

Monday, March 8th, 2010

This sunny warm weather puts me in a fantastic mood, and I’m loving the colour. I think I’m over compensating for the lack of leaves, grass, and pretty flowers, but hey, a girl got to get her colour someplace! I also looooove window shopping, or in this case internet browsing, looking for nice things and imagining myself riding on that vespa wearing Club Monaco outfit with some awesome shoes and accessories! Man, that would be super bright! I’ll go take my happy, bouncy self outside to soak in some sun while it still lasts. Toodles Internet! Enjoy this awesome spring!

Monday, January 18th, 2010

After a little flirt with bright, glittery colours, and soft, girly things I’m back to black, back to what I know and love. Strong, classy, and slightly gadgety is what I’m in the mood for. Manly watches, Mac keys for rings, black nail polish, hot shoes, even hotter dresses, it’s all business from now on.
