iPhone photos – June

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

Oh would you look at that! More iPhone photos. Still love them and it’s a good way to document the days past. I’ll stick to either bi-weekly or monthly installments of these, me thinks. In two months 1100 photos were taken! Enjoy.

Thursday in iPhone photos

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Have been running around all day today, but even though I don’t have my Nikon with me, I always have an iPhone! …and the best camera is always the one you have with you. Enjoy.

Baltimore, Maryland

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

“Can we stop by Charm City Cakes?” – I asked when driving into Baltimore. Too much Food Network? I sure think so!  The afternoon was sunny and warm, with temperatures climbing past 20C for the first time this year. Dressed like I have no one to impress, literally, we spent a few hours walking around the pier, downtown, and Mount Vernon. I have nothing but good impressions from this city. Loved the brick houses, cast iron staircases, architecture, historic monuments and lively ambiance. Will definitely come back, and no, I didn’t get to see my Charm City Cakes.

Winter-land!

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

On a very chilly day in January we set out to take some ‘winter wonderland’ photos, and it was just beautiful. Minus the minor mishaps with escaped balloons (who knew those can fly away…) the day went amazingly well. Letty is just a gorgeous lady, so natural and adorable. The stunning winter light decided to work in our favour, and made everything even more magical that it already was. Thanks Letty for braving the cold and looking fabulous while doing so!

Pretty Lady

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

When stores gear up for fall/winter season and warm sweaters, jackets, and boots roll in, it makes me do pirouettes (the clumsy, not so graceful kind) along the streets in anticipation of all the pretty things of the season. But once snow falls in TO, and instead of white and fluffy it goes salty and gross, and the temperatures dip below -10C, no pretty winter outfits will cut it! I usually end up looking like a yeti wanna be. However, this post is about a beautiful girl who braved -15C temperatures and managed to look fabulous while doing so. Enjoy the photos.

Hart House Photoshoot

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

Gloves, scarf, hat – check! Winter coat + boots – check! Camera, lens – check! Oh yeah, battery, memory card … and that’s it! Out of the door, and I even have subway tokens, perfect! On the way I got a large cup of tea and a scone and arrived at the location, fashionably… early! Why am I always the first to arrive somewhere? It’s becoming a commonly uncool occurrence. Even when I try to be purposefully late, waiting so that time will be cut a bit shorter, I’m still the first one there! Wouldn’t have it any other way though! This, actually, has nothing to do with today’s post, because today’s photos are fabulous, people are gorgeous, and I wasn’t the first to arrive there!

On one of the last warm-ish Saturdays of this year I had the pleasure to participate in yet another event hosted by the 500px team. Lots of friendly faces, tables of equipment, and great time! Thanks to everyone who got in front of my lens, you guys were amazing! Enjoy the photos!

Random Wednesday – Kingston

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Oh, how I love the Thursday’s Wednesday editions! Makes me feel like I have extra days in the week… I have no idea why I would want additional work days, but time is never on my side, so I guess few extra won’t hurt. I’d like them to be sunny with white sand, ocean, and Coronas! I swear they will be productive!

  • Has anyone seen Ninja Assassin yet? It’s so horribly BAD, that it’s good! More blood than Kill Bill and by the end everyone was laughing from all the nonsense, or that they payed $13 to watch it. Next on the list are: Pirate Radio, The Men Who Stare at Goats, and Fantastic Mr. Fox. No more bad movies for now.
  • The past week was aaah-may-zing! I got to travel! I think ‘two maximum security prisons’ and ‘middle of nowhere’ were the key words that sold me on going to Kingston (Ontario, that is)! I knew absolutely nothing about the city and it didn’t disappoint. Pretty limestone buildings, cute stores, historic streets, ‘Harry Potter-ish’ looking Queen’s University, what more can you ask for? Oh yeah, beautiful waterfront, windmills, forts, and the most delicious Apple Cider with blueberry scones!

The Queen Of Cute – Part III

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

What? No Random Wednesday post? Well, Vivian is leaving for a warmer country today, so I thought it would be just appropriate to post the photos today. This set is all about fun, and you guessed it – Cuteness. Dear Viv, wish you all the best, especially good airplane food, cause you know how important that is! Thanks for being awesome! Missing you already!

P.s. Random Wednesday post is coming up tomorrow!

Random Wednesday – Foggy Phones

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

Last week was a tad slow on ‘exciting’ activities that are worth writing about, but it was full of family and friend get togethers. Always good! Here are a few blurbs for a random factor.

  • As the garage door opened I was submerged… it was so thick and milky. Pure fascination! Fog! It’s not often we get fog in this city, but when we do, it’s definitely the best kind. I was driving at night on a highway in a constant cloud. Dangerous awesomeness! I left the camera behind, but quickly felt sorry that I did. All week I was hoping for a repeat, and it didn’t disappoint. Fog came back last night with double the strength, visibility 50m max. Grabbed my camera and went out. Scenery not as exciting as it was last week, but the fog made for some good photos.
  • Did I mention my dislike for cellphone companies? Wow, I can never win with them. Not only do they mess up my bill every month, but they give me trouble for fixing it too. Somehow even if you do get what you want from them, you still lose. How about: I don’t want your 4 features for $10, I need only one of those, and I don’t want you charging me $7 for it. They were trying to talk me into additional features (of which I would only really use two) for double the price of my existing phone plan. Are you kidding me??? And they really dislike the NO answer. I even got: “no disrespect, but you’re not a valued customer yet”, and “I hope the offer will still be there next time you call for it”. To which my answer was that I’m not calling back. Jeez…
