Random Wednesday – Holiday Edition

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009
  • I’m back from my lovely trip to Montreal, and Toronto is looking just as cold as I left it! Come on Toronto, show me some love or something! The trip was beyond amazing, filled with concerts, theater, dancing, walks around town, friendly gatherings, and many other ‘too cute to blog about’ things. Oh and I also got tripped, bruised, and almost killed with a shovel, all purely accidental and mostly self inflicted! My clumsy side decided to come out for the end of the year. How very inconvenient!
  • Don’t you just love this Christmas madness? At times like this, I like going to a mall, grabbing a cup of tea, hogging a couch, and watching people zoom by in their last minute dash for useless presents. They’re all stressed out, yanking their children along, getting mad at their partners, and other general unpleasantries. When did all of this get so badly commercialized? Oh the Holidays, it’s getting worse every year, so much for good quality family time! I think I’ll be boycotting all the Holidays and the need for a material demonstration of love. Sorry friends!

Random Wednesday – Kingston

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Oh, how I love the Thursday’s Wednesday editions! Makes me feel like I have extra days in the week… I have no idea why I would want additional work days, but time is never on my side, so I guess few extra won’t hurt. I’d like them to be sunny with white sand, ocean, and Coronas! I swear they will be productive!

  • Has anyone seen Ninja Assassin yet? It’s so horribly BAD, that it’s good! More blood than Kill Bill and by the end everyone was laughing from all the nonsense, or that they payed $13 to watch it. Next on the list are: Pirate Radio, The Men Who Stare at Goats, and Fantastic Mr. Fox. No more bad movies for now.
  • The past week was aaah-may-zing! I got to travel! I think ‘two maximum security prisons’ and ‘middle of nowhere’ were the key words that sold me on going to Kingston (Ontario, that is)! I knew absolutely nothing about the city and it didn’t disappoint. Pretty limestone buildings, cute stores, historic streets, ‘Harry Potter-ish’ looking Queen’s University, what more can you ask for? Oh yeah, beautiful waterfront, windmills, forts, and the most delicious Apple Cider with blueberry scones!

P.S. My obsession with Lensbaby continues – all ‘blurry’ photos are taken with it.
