It’s been a while since I’ve posted one of these, forgot how much I enjoy making them. It’s like shopping with an unlimited budget! Minus the part where you don’t actually buy anything… I definitely don’t need any more clothes, especially after two hour closet clean up today. Pheeew! …maybe shoes, one can never have enough shoes. Today I looked for something that will go well with changing leaf colour, cold mornings, and gloomy skies. Somehow animal theme sneaked in again. Had to restrain myself from adding a whole bunch of unrelated animals into one outfit. Zoo obsessions, much? Dress it up with high heels, or go casual with riding boots and charcoal coloured tights. I tried almost identical pair of boots in Town Shoes this past weekend. They are at $250. Also, Calvin Klein has similar enamel rings starting from $120, on sale -60%.

If I had a split personality that’s what she would wear to the beach. Completely impractical but totally fabulous, relaxed, yet fashionable. I’ll stick with shorts and plaid, sunglasses and definitely flip flops or gladiator sandals, ’cause all I can think of is ‘sand everywhere.’ Love the ocean-blue colours, whites and golds. That water bottle is actually glass – no throw away plastics, especially at the beach. Can’t wait for the heat of the summer and beach volleyball!

The calendar yet again flipped it’s page to another month, and February slipped away into the past. With the first day of March the weather suddenly improved and grey weeks with snow and rain turned into brilliance and warmth. This light puts me into a cottage mood, warm days by the lake, watching the sun slowly sink at the horizon, while sipping on lemonade. Long, gorgeous days! Can’t wait!

With all the Holiday parties, thought that a girl could use some colour and bling to brighten up these grey, snowy days. This one is for Hanna, she mentioned how she loves fuchsia and gold combinations, so I did my version of it. It’s way too many accessories for a single occasion, so I’d either go with the 7,4,11 or 10,2,8,5 combo. Can’t say that I have anything this bold in my closet, but who knows, maybe for this new year! Fascinating, cute, slimy, delicious sea creatures… Always liked them… and kelp, aaand seaweed. Searched high and low for tentacle inspired pieces; most of it borders on tacky, but a few did make the cut. Loved the little door knobs and ‘ugly’ toys. Art prints were gorgeous as always, hard to narrow them down to just one.

Nothing says autumn like waking up to a dark sky and thinking that it’s way too early to get up, just to realize that it’s raining and it’s late! Props go out to gloomy weather for today’s post. I’m completely in love with those rain boots, paired up with a raincoat, an umbrella, and a tote for a punch of colour = perfection. Can’t forget about accessories either. Very monotone, very me : ).
