Mexico – Part III

Thursday, January 20th, 2011

Let me run wild in Mexico and I end up walking down the aisle to the alter! On a warm evening when the last sun rays were kissing palm trees on a horizon, I walked the red carped down to the water and a lovely canopy with it’s white chiffon flowing in the wind. It was incredibly romantic and everything I imaged the wedding would be: white sand, turquoise ocean, sunset, family and friends. Perfection! Except it wasn’t my wedding! I was slightly terrified, obviously I wasn’t the bride, but it was the ONLY way to get to my destination. Thankfully, the ceremony was over and bridal party were taking photos down the beach. An uncomfortable situation successfully averted, and I got to walk down the aisle (with no one waiting for me, but still!) On that night, a boy ran by me and posed in front of the camera for no apparent reason.

I’ll start with left overs of sunrise photos without an actual sun.

The workers were out VERY early

So were the joggers

From a different morning

A coconut washed up on the shore as sun was about to set.

Pelicans were out fishing

The whole sunset was taking place behind these palm trees.

Night time on the beach

It was a full moon.

Random Wednesday – Lost Beach

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

Since I skipped out on all the TV watching while in London, not that I watch a lot of it as is, I managed to fit in the season finale of LOST and the premier of Bachelorette – the two shows I never watch! LOST was just horrible, and no need for hate mail. I have only seen the pilot episode and the season finale. I’m sure many things happened in that show during it’s run, but for a person who never got into it, season finale was just uber cheesy. The Bachelorette…. oh my, why does this show even exists? The guys were just hilarious, in a bad sense of that word. For one they all looked way too old for their 25-33 age bracket, and were just plain weird. I would have narrowed them down to maximum five in the first 10 minutes.  “jump out of the roof of the car” – OUT,  “talked bad about the other guy” – OUT, “creepy all around” – OUT.. see it’s easy! WOW guys don’t take rejection well.

I’m not going to talk about the weather, I’m not… Oh come on, how can I not talk about the weather?!? It’s glorious! One downside is that there is no ocean around so I can’t even go to the beach. Lake Ontario doesn’t count! …and hot, muggy weather in the city just makes people sweaty.
