Today turned out waaaay better than ’48h of no sleep’ the day before! Not jet lagged at all, woke up nice and early after 10h of glorious sleep. Off to London we went, circled around Buckingham palace, Knightsbridge, Victoria and Albert Museum, Albert Hall, Hyde park and the west end of London. Lots of walking and photo taking took place. Here is a list of things I notices about Brits and London.

1. Awesome fashion, love love love it!
2. Half of the girls are Platinum blond with huge eyes and a lot of chunky mascara
3. Horses are everywhere: live and monuments. There are even traffic lights made for horse crossing. Love police’s riding boots! Horses themselves are gorgeous too: tall, lean, very pretty colours.
4. Roundabouts?!? What’s up with those? Had to go through 7 of those just to get from the station to the hotel.
5. Country side is just beautiful. Cute houses, vast fields, caws, sheep, horses, canola flowering, rivers, tall trees. Parks are amazing too: luscious grass, friendly dogs, flowering trees, fountains, black ducks.

I don’t like flying that’s a fact! The air conditioner on the plane drives me insane and makes me supper stuffy and headachy. I don’t sleep well in new places, airplanes included, so not even the “Sleep Inducer” from MindWave worked. Halfway through the flight (around 2am) we caught up to the sun, and they started serving breakfast in a form of a cold, stale muffin and a tea that smelled of chlorine water!  Mmmm delicious! So far what I have seen of the country is very beautiful. Gorgeous greenery, everything is flowering, humongous trees, nice shopping center (yes, I went shopping). Tomorrow is a first full day in London, hopefully I’ll de-zombiefy myself till them, and won’t be too lazy to take out a real camera! Stylish, laid back, totally cool – that’s what I love about this look.  Yes, it’s been around for a while, but my affection for well tailored suit jackets is strong.  Throw in a pretty lining for rolled up cuffs and we’re golden. Speaking of golden, usually not my thing, but I just loooove how adorable and creative these pieces are. I’d even wear gold shoes…. enough said. Can’t forget the ‘geeky’ photography part either!

A few weeks ago I photographed a charming Italian restaurant in Newmarket. The location and the main building date back to the 1800′s. The owners have done a wonderful job restoring the property and converting it into a lively restaurant. I was stunned by the lovely decor and friendly atmosphere of the place. There were so many amazing details, from old irons to green glass bottles; it was all fabulous! Owner Elio posed with his buddy Pinocchio in front of their new sandwich shop, and chef Mario came out for a minute as well. Oh, and the food looked deliiiiiiiicious!
