This started with nothing more than me joking that Calvin needs a new Facebook photo. He took me up on the offer and did he ever deliver! Maybe it was the suit, or the setting, or the desire to get ‘Ari Gold’ look, but friendly and slightly shy Calvin that I know turned into a manly man. He gave so much handsomeness to my camera that I think it would have melted if we were to shoot longer. Calvin you’re awesome! And the only guy I know who can pull off a pink shirt!
Drove all the way to Barrie for a photographer meet up and ended up taking a few photos at the parking garage of these guys. All I can say is that boys will be boys and ‘serious’ shots turn into goofy ones in less than a second. Fun. Fun!

From GQ to … I don’t know what that is! Pffttt Boys!
Remember when you were a kid there was this definite separation between spring and summer. For me it was warm weather, the end of school year, and spending days on the beach, good thing lake was right outside the door. Nowadays seasons just blend together, days pass by and I catch myself on “Wow, it’s July already” thought. So to kick off summer properly this year, and not some time in August, trampoline, soap bubbles, and a beautiful grass field were involved. Happy Canada Day and Happy Summer everyone!
Pudding went to pose in the grass as well.
What’s that? My camera is FIXED? Oh Em Gee! I’m so happy, and $500 poorer but never mind that. I have my camera back! *does a happy dance*. I’ve been definitely camera starved for a bit too long so the first thing I did is pulled out my lights and did a few head shots! I can tell you with a full confidence that I’m the worst model ever. Out of 150 or so shots, I got only a handful of good ones. Bhoo. That’s why I’m behind the lens and not in front of it, and I completely understand how hard it is to be a model. Also, a very lovely Hanna came by today and we took a few photos. Watch out for that girl, as she takes over Toronto’s real estate market! You can check her out in Hanna in the City.
Those colourful macarons have made their way to my blog again! Lovely Tina hosted a tea party and she baked an enormous amount of extra delicious goodness. I couldn’t resist but to take more photos. Just looking at these sweets makes my mouth water. Tina is finally opening her shop ‘Butter Avenue’ and is taking orders. So ladies and gentlemen if you’d like some amazing baked goods and perfect party favours, Tina is your ‘go to girl.’ Now I just have to steal some recipes from her. Mmmm cookies!
Crème brûlée
With all these beautiful ladies being posted on my blog, it was missing a real rugged man! So here you go, together with an old beat up truck and a Cuban cigar! Very manly if I may say so! Don’t let the sun fool you, it was still very cold back then.
On a very chilly day in January we set out to take some ‘winter wonderland’ photos, and it was just beautiful. Minus the minor mishaps with escaped balloons (who knew those can fly away…) the day went amazingly well. Letty is just a gorgeous lady, so natural and adorable. The stunning winter light decided to work in our favour, and made everything even more magical that it already was. Thanks Letty for braving the cold and looking fabulous while doing so!
When stores gear up for fall/winter season and warm sweaters, jackets, and boots roll in, it makes me do pirouettes (the clumsy, not so graceful kind) along the streets in anticipation of all the pretty things of the season. But once snow falls in TO, and instead of white and fluffy it goes salty and gross, and the temperatures dip below -10C, no pretty winter outfits will cut it! I usually end up looking like a yeti wanna be. However, this post is about a beautiful girl who braved -15C temperatures and managed to look fabulous while doing so. Enjoy the photos.
Gloves, scarf, hat – check! Winter coat + boots – check! Camera, lens – check! Oh yeah, battery, memory card … and that’s it! Out of the door, and I even have subway tokens, perfect! On the way I got a large cup of tea and a scone and arrived at the location, fashionably… early! Why am I always the first to arrive somewhere? It’s becoming a commonly uncool occurrence. Even when I try to be purposefully late, waiting so that time will be cut a bit shorter, I’m still the first one there! Wouldn’t have it any other way though! This, actually, has nothing to do with today’s post, because today’s photos are fabulous, people are gorgeous, and I wasn’t the first to arrive there!
