…I’d be a very cool stylish one! Well, hopefully I’d have some sort of a fashion sense, and my mother wouldn’t dress me till I’m 30. Maybe my girlfriend would, but still… I’d have a collection of pretty sneakers, nice jackets, nerdy t-shirts, and very cool accessories. I’d give out “Stop Talking” cards to all the annoying ladies while wearing my handsome shades… Wait, I already sound like a jerk. Hmmm need to rethink my boy strategy! I love guys fashion, pretty boys wearing amazing clothes make my heart melt!

I have a mini fascination with farms and life on a country side. I’d like to imagine that it’s a very relaxed, slow pace lifestyle without cell phones, internet, traffic, and general craziness of the city. Although, I’d be unable to survive on a farm without the internet… So, I’m imagining my farm with the internet! While I’m getting more into whole foods, organics, and watching all the chemicals consumed with food, farms come up more often. I’m turning into a modern day ‘hippie wanna-be’ and supporting local farmers and their hard work to produce good food! I think there are significant changes on the horizon from mass produced, tasteless, chemical filled greens and meats to healthier, better quietly ones. Come on Canada, you can do it! The inspiration for this post came from books on food, documentaries, and a new season of Project Runway : ). Potato sack cocktail dress anyone?

After a little flirt with bright, glittery colours, and soft, girly things I’m back to black, back to what I know and love. Strong, classy, and slightly gadgety is what I’m in the mood for. Manly watches, Mac keys for rings, black nail polish, hot shoes, even hotter dresses, it’s all business from now on.

Odd things happen when you’re low on creativity and start typing random words into a browser to see what comes up. So after going through a few colours and random words like twigs, lamps, or zombies, nothing good came up. And then the golden word Ex was entered! On the first page of Etsy I get this amazing “Ex-boyfriend” scarf. Hmmm interesting, show me more! That’s the story of how I ended up on Yokoo Gibran’s page and her incredible work. Completely smitten with her stuff. I’m also a sucker for well executed product showcasing. Styling, photography, oddness and cuteness in one – Just love it!

With all the Holiday parties, thought that a girl could use some colour and bling to brighten up these grey, snowy days. This one is for Hanna, she mentioned how she loves fuchsia and gold combinations, so I did my version of it. It’s way too many accessories for a single occasion, so I’d either go with the 7,4,11 or 10,2,8,5 combo. Can’t say that I have anything this bold in my closet, but who knows, maybe for this new year! Hanna I hope you approve! Happy ‘first day of winter’ everyone!

What’s better than writing all the random thoughts in my head in one nicely organized list? ’Cause we all know how much I love lists. I could make a blog post about every single one of these thoughts, but who really wants to read a page on Toronto’s crazy wind, or me changing a battery in my toothbrush. [Doesn’t matter that it took some serious tools and almost an hour, but alas my toothbrush is buzzing with electrical life once again, and my teeth are sparkly clean. Dentists recommend that I hear!] Before I get whisked away into another rambling land of disconnected thoughts, I better get on with my ‘thought list.’ That’s exactly what Random Wednesday posts will be, random! I might even write all the ideas on pieces of paper throw them into a huge (read TINY) bucket and pull them out, see where it takes me, I’m betting no place sane.
- What’s with the crazy wind today, Toronto? I told you, wind will make it into this post, and you’d have to read a page about it. But seriously! Wind, you make the grapevines in the backyard dance one crazy disjointed routine! I’m so not coming out of the house today, unless it’s a visit to Costco!
- Purple furry coat from D&G September ’09 collection. Need I say more? High fashion and all, but I think I’ll pass on that thing, even if they’d pay me to wear it. Wookiee much? And it’s not only D&G that came out with purple fuzzy stuff. Mac’s Viva Glam VI campaign put Fergie into a purple feather outfit. Chewbacca and Big bird here I come!
- I love it when the fridge is stocked with fresh produce. I got radishes, Brussel sprouts, green beans, sweet potatoes, red/yellow peppers, tomatoes aaaaaand I can go on forever. Fresh produce makes me happy, and I’m definitely cooking something new today!
- New projects get props this week, cause that’s when they are happening. Nothing is more exciting than ideas coming to life. I can watch them dance around the room, scratch my hand a few times, and be completely uncooperative, but hopefully it’ll work out in the end. More on projects later in the week; they deserve a post of their own.
That’s it for a Random Wednesday. Until next time internet!

Nothing says autumn like waking up to a dark sky and thinking that it’s way too early to get up, just to realize that it’s raining and it’s late! Props go out to gloomy weather for today’s post. I’m completely in love with those rain boots, paired up with a raincoat, an umbrella, and a tote for a punch of colour = perfection. Can’t forget about accessories either. Very monotone, very me : ).

As discouraging as it might sound, autumn is here in Canada, at least by my standards. Leaves start to show their true colours and the air takes on the scent of approaching snowfall. I happen to like the sweater season and always get a bit too excited when I see new arrivals of warm and cozy things. I figured, ‘I’ll throw a ‘day at a cottage’ outfit together from Anthropologie’, which is one of my favourite, unaffordable stores. The whole outfit came up to CAD $1223.25, eeep! But how gorgeous are those cranberry boots!?! A girl can dream!

- Gusty Tunic
- Button Jumble Hat
- Rivers & Rivulets Bag
- 7 for All Mankind Gummy Gwenevere
- Cranberry Bog Boots
- Crocheted Aster Scarf

Don’t you just love when everything is bright and sunny outside, and how it instantaneously lifts your mood, especially on Mondays? Today is definitely sunny and it reminded me of all the pretty yellow things I keep coming across. Yellow is not my favourite colour, but it has been popping up here and there all season long, and it slowly grew on me. Nice, rich, almost mustard yellow – that’s what I’m talking about. Yellow sweater, yellow purse, yellow tights all made it into my collection this summer, and I’m loving it. Today I positively [heart] yellow!
